Share International fundraising video update

Sep.18, 2009, under Kenya

I’m hard at work on the Share International fundraising video from all the footage I shot in Kenya in June. It will be shown at the fundraising banquet next month and sent to churches all over the country to raise support and awareness for the minitry of Share International in Turkanaland, Kenya. I really feel like God is going to some amazing things with it.

I just completed my first rough edit with my voiceover as a placeholder. It came out to be right at the 7-8 minute mark which was my goal since I even left for Africa. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to post it. I’ve still got to color grade and get a new voiceover, but it should be done within the next week!

More cool things are coming! And a some unrelated exciting news coming Oct. 1 (at least it’s exciting for me)!

A Few Kenya Clips

Sep.06, 2009, under Uncategorized

I’m diving into editing my footage form Kenya this week. I pulled these 4 clips to do some color-correction testing, and now I’m uploading them for you all to see. I have a ton more footage, and I’m definitely saving some of my BEST shots for the final long video. :)

I hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into one of the most amazing experiences I have ever been a part of.

Josiah covers “Highway Star” on drums

Sep.02, 2009, under Family

My 2-year old, Josiah, loves to play drums. It started when I received “Rock Band” as a gift from my wife and he quickly took over the drums. I got stuck playing guitar every time we would play. But he really loves the song “Highway Star” by Deep Purple from that game and he sings it all the time.

So I shot this little video of him singing it while playing on his new drumset he got for his birthday.

Here is a commercial I shot in my dining room last night for a contest that Psystar (a Mac clone maker) was running. Getting that seamless background was alot of fun. Now I gotta go clean up the mess I left last night…
